Healing Minds, Building Hope! A fundraiser for the Mental Health Mission at the Montreal General Hospital
My name is Naveed Hussain. I am a mental health nurse working in the psychiatry unit of the Montreal General Hospital. I joined the psychiatric unit three years ago after working for 18 years in internal medicine. Psychiatry is near and dear to my heart as my father, who emigrated here from Pakistan, worked as a psychiatric aide for 36 years. Join me in continuing my family’s legacy by supporting vulnerable people who suffer from mental illnesses.
I am proud to support MUHC’s Mental Health Mission. My goal is to help patients in the psychiatry unit access new books, board games and hopefully much more. I want to find entertaining ways to distract patients from what is happening to them and connect them with others. Some of our resources are from the 1980s because we don’t have enough money to replace them. Our mission is to create spaces where people feel safe, where they can get treatment and go back to their lives as normally as possible.
How you can help?
• Support my fundraiser to buy new books, board games and other forms of entertainment for inpatients.
• Share this page with your network so you can spread the word about this important cause.
I hope you will join me in supporting our psychiatric patients and health care professionals by giving through the Montreal General Hospital Foundation. Together, let's provide vital support for life-saving care.
Thank you so much!
